2019 sports event calendar and UK live TV guide: what’s on in November?

Rugby World Cup final, international cricket and heavyweight boxing are the highlights of the month

November kicks off with the two remaining matches at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

Wales face New Zealand in the bronze medal match on Friday 1 November in Tokyo then on Saturday 2 November England take on South Africa in the World Cup final in Yokohama.

Both RWC games start at 9am (UK time) and are live on ITV.

What else is on in November?

England’s cricket tour of New Zealand starts on 1 November. England will take on the Black Caps in five Twenty20 matches and two Tests.

The women’s tennis WTA Finals are taking place in Shenzhen, China, and continue through to 3 November. The men’s tennis 2019 ATP Finals will then be held from 10-17 November at The O2 in London.

There’s also lots of European football during the month. Champions League continues with matchday four on 5-6 November and matchday five on 26-27 November.

From 14-19 November the final Euro 2020 group qualifying matches will be played. Once the group fixtures are complete the draw and fixtures for the play-offs take place. The main tournament draw is on 30 November in Bucharest.

Formula 1 has two races in the month – the United States Grand Prix on Sunday 3 November (7.10pm) and the Brazilian Grand Prix on 17 November (5.10pm).

November also sees a huge heavyweight boxing title rematch between WBC champion Deontay Wilder and challenger Luis Ortiz.

The bout will be held on Saturday 23 November at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Time difference will mean the fight will start in the early hours of Sunday 24 November for UK boxing fans.
